All we are asking for is a small donation of a million dollars… PSYCHE!! Hillary has money! We aren’t worried about funding the campaign as much as we are worried about getting into office and making a difference. All we are really asking for is your vote! How easy is that? We want the country to be in a better place, so it’s a no brainer! I mean do we really want Donald Trump as our president? Come out and show your support by voting for Hillary Clinton!Image result for hillary clinton
We have so much opportunity in front of us. If we go with Hillary we are going with equality and unity. We don’t need a president who is single handedly destroying foreign affairs and creating social divide. NO! Of course not! We want someone who can unite us as a country and lead us into a better tomorrow. We want someone with only semi bad hair! Not a full head of fake rug, I mean hair.
Of course we want the younger vote! Did you see how connect Hillary was on SNL?Image result for hillary clinton snl
How she did the great Mannequin Challenge? We want something good for our country so come out and vote! No matter where you are! Especially our friend out in Florida! We need you guys, specifically to come vote for Hillary Clinton. We cannot emphasize enough how imperative it is that you guys vote for Hillary this year. I could go on and on about how we need you guys. But any how come out and rock the vote from all over the country! Every vote counts believe what your parents told you! Unless they told you to vote for Trump.Image result for florida
Even if the poll indicate that our candidate isn’t winning come out anyways! Some of those are wrong or bias anyways! A lot of people lie on those anyways!

Just remember we encourage everyone to vote not just the minorities! We want everyone together on this!

Well, I’m till not 100% sure how polling works and all but from what I know about the 2016 presidential election the polls were pretty off since Donald Trump had one where as I recall Hillary being up in the polls. I figured for this blog, since it’s kind of extremely late, I would just share my stance on polls. I’m not sure exactly how to answer the prompt questions but I’ll try as I go along. I know polling is important to a lot of people but I also feel like there are many faults to it. From what I understand is it’s just basically like reporters asking people who they voted for or who they plan to vote for. This works well because it gives a good estimate of who will win the election. But for people who choose not to tell the truth to the reporter, well this causes problems because then they are presenting the wrong information to the population which gives them the wrong impression which means some people won’t even go out and vote. This is because they could see their candidate losing and just lost hope on it. I know we talked about this happening in a section of Florida sine part of the state is in one time zone and another part is in a different time zone.Image result for what are polls?

If I was conducting polls I would for sure state that the people being asked are going to take the poll seriously in order to put out the best information to the public. Instead of harassing the people in order to find out who they voted for I might create some incentive to have them come tell me who they voted for. The goal would be to come up with a way for people to want to tell me who they voted for. This would help because people would be more honest about who they voted for. I’m not exactly sure what the incentive would be but I feel as if this would help a little. I also would ask questions revolving around which parties they usually tend to vote for, or which party they see themselves a part of in order find more demographic information and sort through it. By sorting a categorizing information like this I would be able to inform others as to who voted for who if that makes sense. If people were staying in their own parties to vote or in like this past election changing their votes to the other party. I also plan to ask more questions than just “Who did you vote for?” because this will lead people to think that more information is being sought after and it’ll be a little more settling and comforting for some people because personally I would hate if someone just came up to me and asked who I voted for and that was it. I would probably lie just to get them to go away if that was all they wanted to know.

It was really weird seeing how CNN didn’t have many pleasant things to say about Hillary. I was actually impressed when they did give her a few compliments after reading it all, but most of this article was all about how Hillary should stop where she is a cut her loses. After this past presidential election, Hillary jumped right back into the swing of things, running around the country, spreading knowledge and still taking shots at the Trump administration. This author feels as if she should stop, going as far as to name the article “Hillary Clinton, it’s too soon” which is obnoxious in its own. Hillary has made it her mission to make the United States a better place and Timothy Stanley, the author was right about her being 108 and still running. She is literally surrounding her entire life around doing good for our country, which even if it’s not the best, she still deserves credit for.
Here is where I thought they would really give Hillary a hard time and really give her a negative connotation but to my surprise it wasn’t all that bad. I’d say they were more civil with her here, even in the interview I feel as if they were more level headed with her. The sound bites in the article itself just catch her admitting to her mistake but they don’t really go after her about anything. I was almost certain that the interview would be just a bunch of leading almost like the “Between Two Ferns” But it seemed as if they were actually just getting information from her in this segment which is a nice change up I guess. Keeping the snarky comments to a minimum makes for better news anyways.
Again, like I thought, this is more of a laid back article about Hillary. It speaks on how she was working on a book about her experience during the 2016 presidential election. I think it was a good mix of just reporting a little criticism. I felt that this was a pure new piece, since it didn’t attack anything she had done and it didn’t make her seem much better as well in the process. It literally just talking about what she was planning as well as reported on how she has been quiet since the election of Donald Trump. So this is everything I expected from a more mixed new outlet.

I feel as if Hillary herself is the one generating her news. Most of the things I had seen being reported on were her, Benghazi incident, her illness and her loss to Trump. I feel like her media team hasn’t been capturing her lately to kind of give her a little slack coming off the exhausting campaign. If I was one of her team members I would capture her more with her family now that the campaign was over. She had always had her best moments when connecting with her family. It made her seem more of a people person. She should also work on connecting with the younger generation now after she had tried so hard to get their vote. I feel like if she didn’t well then this younger generation will feel used for their votes and that might leave a bad impression from the Democratic Party, which in turn will lead to future problems with that political party.

I for one really liked the setup of Hillary Clinton’s issue page. The issues tabs were pretty easy to follow and well laid out. The main issues that seemed to be dealing with the economy and public health. Other issues were national security, environmental, justice and equality, and education. These were other tabs that you can click into and read about. These tabs took you into a more in depth backing of what each subject had to deal with as well as how Hillary had planned to go about fixing these problems. She even included a section indicating what she would do as president. I feel like it was a little crowded under the main tabs of issue on her page because there was just so much to look through and that was a little distasteful. But it is Hilary Clinton with most of her things being bland and boring. I’m surprised that her issues were still up as if she were still running for president I assumed that they would have been rewritten to address them as things she is currently working on without the title of president.

When compared to Bernie Sander’s issues there were a good amount of differences. It seemed that Bernie’s issues revolved more around environmental protection as well as the economy. Bernie’s issues were also a little harder to find than Hillary’s. Instead of having an issues tab you had to go in to the “About Bernie” tab and see what his lists of priorities were. Like I said before most of the things were the same as Hillary’s but I did find it very interesting that at the top of his priority list was “Campaign Finances”. I don’t know much about Bernie but I thought he was given most of his campaign money through donations so I didn’t think it would be much of a priority for him. With Bernie’s issues you could really see that he was pushing more of an environmental stand point than an economic standpoint. Over all I didn’t really like either websites but I guess I would have to give Hillary the better of the two since hers was a just a bit better to navigate as well as it giving more information and detail than the Bernie website.

When I google searched justice and equality there was a ton of philosophical article that were trying to explain what it meant to have a balance of both in your life. There wasn’t many article about it in recent times, most of them dating back to 2014. So I had to specify my search to equality in the media. But even after this the main thing I found was by The Guardian back in October 2016. Which ironically was prime time for the presidential campaign and one of the issues Hillary was really pressing on. So of course there was more media coverage during these times. Now that Trump won id assume these issues won’t be deemed as important as it would have been if Hillary had won the election.

I chose to show Hillary acting on Saturday Night Live. In this episode she is a bartender named Val, serving Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential elections. Kate McKinnon who plays Hillary for this skit explains her concerns and stance on political issues during the campaign as Hillary herself sits and listens to the complaining done by her counterpart.  Kate brought up most of Hillary’s supporting characteristics like how she supported gay marriage or how she was trying to stay “hip” with the younger generations. She also added in some small jabs at Hillary about how she should have chosen her sides sooner than she had. Things like the pipeline where Hillary didn’t make a decision quickly on. I did really enjoy the little shot at Donald Trump or the impression Val tried to make of him. I mean she’s not a real good actress or anything I just thought it was funny and didn’t really expect Hillary herself to make fun of Trump out in public away from politics. I feel as if Hillary doing this show was just another way for her to get attention. Like what we talked about in class it was just another political ad. In the skit it expressed all of her stances on some key political issues as well as gave a brief little background about how she had been a politician for 22 years and so on about how she has worked hard in what she does. I also think this was a huge jump into pop culture with the younger generation she was trying to reach. This episode or skip really help portray Hillary as a good person, so back to the ads bit. It was all about showing the viewers what she had planned to accomplish as well as show a down to Earth, normal person. This of course instead of the typical politician with no emotions as people like to view her as. Which in turn came out to be a very good political ad because it has the touch of pop culture as well as the comedy relief I think a lot of people were looking for in Hillary Clinton.

Although there have been many skits on SNL about Hillary, this one was definitely all about making her look good. I guess that’s only because she was actually there. Most of the time I feel as if SNL has a main goal of just bluntly making fun of people using their ever extending cast. But this is Hillary Clinton we are talking about. There’s no way she’d let anyone get away with making fun over her without a drastic attempt to seem like a perfectly normal and relatable human being. I personally like when Kate plays here and tries to imitate Hillary’s emotionless features or when she tries to make her eyes wide and alert almost scary to perfect her impression of Mrs. Clinton. All in all I’m not a real big fan of the show itself but I did actually enjoy watching this episode and I encourage others to see it minus the musical portion. (Not a big Miley Cyrus fan since she left Disney Channel)
